U.S. Poker Tour's American Poker Championships in Las Vegas
The U.S. Poker Tour will host the first-annual American Poker Championships at the casino where big-time poker began, Binion's in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. Event dates are November 3-20, 2008 and include the $3,000 buy-in American Poker Championship, which is a 3-day, No Limit Hold Em Tournament.

    /24-7PressRelease/ - MANHATTAN BEACH, CA, September 17, 2008 - High-stakes tournament poker began in downtown Las Vegas at Binion's way back in the early 1970's. The U.S. Poker Tour is bringing poker back to it's roots with the inaugural American Poker Championships, to be held November 3-20, 2008 at the world famous Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel.

Binion's will also be offering special room rates for players during the event dates. Players can take advantage of these rates by calling the reservations line at 800-937-6537 and using the promo code "American Poker." This series of events will include Hold Em, Stud, Razz, Omaha, and H.O.R.S.E. We also have two ladies events, The Rising Stars Championship (for players ages 30 and under), a casino employee's event, and The Senior Championship (for players ages 55 and up).
