    TULSA, OK, October 1, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Vickie R. Morrison, Registered Nurse in Saint John Medical Center's Department of IV Therapy, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of nursing.

With extensive professional experience, Vickie R. Morrison is distinguished for her dedication to the field of nursing. Especially proficient in intravenous therapy, she expertly provides patient care and general assessments. In her position with Saint John Medical Center, she is responsible for checking the validity of intravenous machines, training and mentoring new RNs, monitoring patient IVs and caring for a caseload of 15-20 patients on a daily basis. Regularly part of the night shift staff, Ms. Morrison handles first response incidents and responds seamlessly to code blue emergencies.

Ms. Morrison exemplifies physical and emotional strength. She is exposed to life and death situations every day, and is trained to make split minute decisions in order to provide patients with life-saving treatments. Driven by compassion and a love of her work, Ms. Morrison is recognized for her ability to stay focused under pressure. She attributes her success to hard work, her faith in God and the unwavering support she receives from her colleagues and mentor, Juanita Barnes.

A graduate of Bacone College, Ms. Morrison holds an associate of science in nursing and is certified in vascular access procedures. Looking to the future, she intends to continue her career in nursing.
