ATLANTA, GA July 31, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Atlanta interactive marketing agency What's Up Interactive welcomes Virginia Lewis in a new role, as Vice President for Delivery for the 20-year-old interactive agency. Her job is to establish and refine processes to enable What's Up Interactive to serve its clients as efficiently as possible.
"Virginia is helping take What's Up Interactive to the next level. The web marketing and technology services we're delivering are more complex and the expectations of our clients are higher. Adding Virginia to the team is helping us stay ahead of demand," said What's Up Interactive CEO Richard Warner.

Lewis is a skilled communicator and decision-maker who can translate complex ideas between business and technology and promote collaboration and innovation. She most recently worked at Fuzebox Inc., as Director, Project Office, overseeing development of Lens on Atlanta, the community portal created by IBM for Public Broadcasting Atlanta.

Prior to Fuzebox, she spent four years at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution where she and the senior editor team developed standard practices and processes for planning, strategy, personnel and budget ahead of a major transition at the paper from print-centric to more web-focused. She joined the AJC as daily sports editor and rose to deputy sports editor then to features editor and finally senior coordinator for planning/digital.

Before moving to Atlanta from Florida, Lewis worked in Ocala at The Star-Banner and in Fort Myers at The News-Press, where she became that paper's first female sports editor. She loves college football and lists former long-time AJC sports editor Furman Bisher as one of the most fascinating people she's ever met.

Lewis has received accolades from the Associated Press Sports Editors and Sunshine State Awards, Florida Sports Writers Association, Society of Professional Journalists and Supervisor of the Year Award from Gannett. She is a member of Association for Women in Sports Media and Women in Technology.

She and husband Michael live in Douglasville with their two children.
