Dr. Mark Finkler, DVM, owner of Roanoke Animal Hospital and president-elect of VVMA, provides advice for pet owners on ways to keep pets safe during the holiday season. In the podcast, Finkler notes that many holiday foods and candies, such as chocolates and artificial sweeteners, as well as decorations such as tinsel, can be hazardous to pets. In addition, he explains that increased household visitors and colder winter weather should be taken into consideration by pet owners during the holidays.
