Wake Tech Invites Multi-award Winning Veteran CMO Christina Motley to Lead Marketing Workshop

Small business owners who attend the free February 18, 2014 Wake Tech workshop in Cary, lead by veteran marketer Christina Motley, to gain a deeper understanding of how to create and implement effective marketing plans.
    RALEIGH, NC, February 14, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Christina Motley, a successful serial entrepreneur, CEO and Chief Marketing Officer-on-Demand, to deliver a hands-on instructional workshop entitled "Developing an Effective Marketing Plan for Your Small Business." Prospective and existing small business owners throughout the Triangle are welcome to attend the free workshop at Wake Tech Community College's West Campus, 3434 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary, NC 27518, February 18, 2014 from 6:45-9:15 p.m.

The workshop is part of a program that forwards Wake Tech Small Business Center's (SBC) mission to increase the success rate and number of viable small businesses in Wake County, leading to job creation and retention. The workshop is open to the public (age 18+) and does not require pre-registration. Attendees are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of class to register. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

"Marketing plans are equally as critical as business plans," Motley said. "They provide a roadmap of how to get from point A to point B. When used correctly they are a powerful tool which result in business success."

Motley will walk entrepreneurs through writing a situational analysis, creating primary marketing goals and objectives, analyzing the market environment, identifying marketing strategies, producing a marketing action plan, crafting a budget, and measuring results with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Attendees will leave with an outline, practical tools, and a deeper understanding of how effective marketing plans can enhance and propel their companies.

Wake Technical Community College is fully accredited with five campuses and offers more than 180 associate's degrees, diplomas, and certificates, as well as non-credit continuing education programs, customized workforce training, small business support, public safety officer training, basic skills courses and personal enrichment classes.

The SBC is a state-funded organization that provides prospective and existing small business owners with information or assistance for starting or expanding a small business through confidential one-n-one counseling, seminars, workshops, classes and access to a resource library at zero cost to participants.
