Warner Norcross Names Nine Attorneys as Partners

The law firm of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP today announced that nine attorneys have been named partners.
    GRAND RAPIDS, MI, January 05, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The law firm of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP today announced that nine attorneys have been named partners.

The new partners practice in a variety of areas, from estate and tax planning to general litigation and corporate law. They serve clients across the state and around the world from the law firm's offices in Grand Rapids, Southfield, Lansing, Macomb County and Midland.

The new partners are:

Troy M. Cumings, who is chair of the firm's Government Affairs Practice Group and is an attorney and lobbyist in the firm's Lansing and Grand Rapids offices. His practice focuses on advocacy before the Michigan legislature and state agencies, complex legislative and regulatory drafting, policy initiatives and campaign finance and lobbying compliance. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America and is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan and Grand Rapids Bar Association. Cumings holds an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University with honors and a doctor of jurisprudence from Valparaiso University cum laude.

James B. Cunningham, who concentrates his practice in commercial loan transactions, commercial mortgage-backed securities, complex corporate transactions and securities laws. Cunningham is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and Macomb County Bar Association. He practices in the firm's Macomb County office. He holds an undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University magna cum laude and a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Michigan cum laude.

Brian P. Lennon, whose practice focuses on criminal defense, particularly health care fraud and other white collar and drug offenses, corporate internal investigations and compliance matters. Lennon also serves as chair of the firm's Higher Education Practice Group and is a member of the board of trustees of the Michigan Colleges Foundation. Before joining the firm, he served as a federal prosecutor in Michigan and Virginia for 15 years, as a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Division, and as a judge advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, Grand Rapids Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association. He holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Notre Dame.

Jonathan E. Lauderbach, whose practice focuses on commercial litigation and transactions, non-bankruptcy workouts, foreclosures, restructurings and other issues. Lauderbach is a former circuit court judge with extensive experience in all aspects of litigation. He stepped down from the bench last year to join the firm's new office in Midland. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and Midland Bar Association, as well as a member and fellow of the State Bar of Michigan. He holds an undergraduate degree from Albion College and a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Detroit Mercy.

Elisabeth M. Von Eitzen, a litigator whose practice focuses on creditors' rights, bankruptcy, securities arbitration and employment litigation. She was named a Rising Star by Michigan Super Lawyers in 2013. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan and Grand Rapids Bar Association. Von Eitzen holds an undergraduate degree from Hope College cum laude and a doctor of jurisprudence from Wayne State University magna cum laude.

Jeena S. Patel, whose practice focuses on automotive supplier issues and litigation, with an emphasis on commercial contract disputes, supply chain dispute resolution, pricing disputes, breach of warranty claims, terms and conditions disputes and related matters. She practices in the firm's Southfield office. Patel is a member of the American Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan. She holds an undergraduate degree with honors and a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Michigan.

Laura E. Morris, whose practice focuses on probate litigation and disputes involving trusts, estates, wills, powers of attorney, adult guardianships and conservatorships, and minor guardianships. She was named a Rising Star by Michigan Super Lawyers in 2013. She is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, and Grand Rapids Bar Association. Morris holds an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and a doctor of jurisprudence from Wayne State University cum laude.

Amanda M. Fielder, whose practice focuses on employment and intellectual property litigation. She was named a Rising Star by Michigan Super Lawyers from 2010 through 2013. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan and Grand Rapids Bar Association. She serves on the board of the Children's Assessment Center. Fielder holds an undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University summa cum laude and a doctor of jurisprudence from Michigan State University magna cum laude.

Scott M. Watson, who focuses his practice on environmental law and the energy industry, advising clients in complex regulatory and litigation matters. He was named a Rising Star by Michigan Super Lawyers in 2012 and 2013. He is a member of the American Bar Association and Energy Bar Association and serves on the council of the Michigan State Bar's Environmental Law Section and as chair of the Environmental Law Section for the Grand Rapids Bar Association. Watson holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in environmental law and doctor of jurisprudence, both magna cum laude, from Vermont Law School.
