-- Warrior Custom Golf
utilizes its course connections to support the Wounded Warriors Foundation, a project that hopes to raise awareness and aid for injured service men and women throughout the country. Foundations of this caliber require support from several different sources, including a recent Airmen fundraiser. According to an article
on DVIDS, the 772nd Expeditionary Airlift Squadron supported a "pie-ing" contest at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. The participating squads held the event and raised $800 while increasing soldier morale.
Warrior has held its own annual golf tournament for several years running to support various organizations including the Wounded Warriors Foundation and the USO.
"We take a lot of pride in what we can do for wounded soldiers," a Warrior Custom Golf representative says. "One reason we put forth so much effort is because one of our employee's sons was killed in Afghanistan just a few short months after getting married."
The custom golf company manufactures and distributes high-quality golf clubs to amateurs and pros throughout the world. Warrior also does its part for supporting community organizations, including the Boys & Girls Club, the National Kidney Foundation, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and others. The next tournament will take place at the Cimarron Golf Resort in Cathedral City, California. Some proceeds from the tournament will go directly to the USO.
Cimarron is made up of two separate courses; Boulder and Pebble. The Boulder course was recognized as one of Golf Digest's Best Places to Play and continues to have some of the best greens in California. The Pebble course was voted the Top Shorter Length Course in California and plays out in approximately three hours. Pebble is popular for amateurs, couples, and juniors.
The Wounded Warriors Foundation relies on groups like Warrior Golf for continued support in order to provide services for wounded veterans. The foundation, founded in 2004, dedicates its efforts to help Airmen, Sailors, Marines, and Soldiers transition back into civilian life after deployment. Various companies and fundraisers support the foundation through car shows, charity events, and even golf tournaments.
"We are proud of our veterans and will continue to do our best to support them," Warrior Custom Golf says.
Warrior also holds an annual Christmas party that ties into the golf tournament. The company believes that there are countless ways to give back, and that auctions, dinners, tournaments, and sporting events all add up.
As mentioned before, Warrior supports the Boys & Girls Club of the Arkansas River Valley. Teamed up with golf pro John Daly, the company hosts a golf classic each year at the Lion's Den Golf Course in Dardanelle, Arkansas. John Daly says the goal of the program is to set youth on the right track to success in the River Valley area, and they are grateful for the support from Warrior Custom Golf.
