Dr. James Pechloff, general dentist in Wauwatosa, is happy to help his patients find the right shade for their smiles!
WAUWATOSA, WI, February 17, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- So many people wish they had the perfect smile, and a smile should only be considered "perfect" when you are happiest with it. If you feel confident smiling at any given moment, you know you have a smile to literally grin about! If your teeth have lost their luster, you may want to consider professional dental care, such as teeth whitening or veneers.
"A number of cosmetic services can easily cover up a tooth imperfection. If you have intrinsic or extrinsic tooth stains, a professional teeth whitening is an option. For more noticeable imperfections, such as a chipped or misshapen tooth, veneers can fix them," says Dr. Pechloff, Wauwatosa dentist.
Nowadays, whitening solution and veneers are commonly used to cover minor imperfections. Some people believe over-the-counter whitening solutions are just as effective as in-office whitening treatments; however, that is not true.
Home tooth whitening systems that can be bought at the store have weak bleaching agents, which means the results might not be what you had hoped for. It's safer and more effective to consult with a dentist about in-office whitening or take-home trays. You want to make sure you get the desired tooth shade.
If a whitening won't fix your dental issue, there is the option of dental veneers. Most people believe this cosmetic procedure is only common amongst the rich and famous, but it's a popular cosmetic treatment in many dentist offices. The custom, thin shells offer many cosmetic benefits:
- Cover a cracked or chipped tooth
- Fix uneven teeth
- Covers minor gaps
- Hides intrinsic tooth discoloration
The dental materials that are used are able to mimic the look of your natural teeth. Some patients are wary of a whitening treatment or veneers because they don't want the results to look too obvious, in a negative way. No one wants mismatched veneers amongst natural teeth. To ensure the right tooth shade for your smile, Dr. Pechloff installed a VITA Easyshade . With the VITA Easyshade , Dr. Pechloff is able to make sure that the shade of your teeth match.
What are the benefits of a VITA Easyshade ? With ergonomic design, Dr. Pechloff can easily grip and maneuver the VITA device. It also measures your natural tooth shade and compares it with the veneer shade you want. At the push of a button, Dr. Pechloff can track your tooth shade during a bleaching or veneer placement-the perfect match has never been more simple than with the VITA Easyshade .
