    BENTLEY, WESTERN AUSTRALIA, December 28, 2012 /Worldwide Who's Who/ -- Wendy Rokich, Manager of Human Resources for Horizon Power, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in human resources.

Ms. Rokich is an accomplished human resources manager who takes special pride in her work as a leader and coach of young women in a male-dominated industry. She currently serves as the human resources manager for Horizon Power, a government-owned, commercially focused utility company that provides safe and reliable electricity to more than 100,000 residents and 9,000 businesses and major industries in Western Australia. It manages two systems: the North West Interconnected System and the Kununurra and Wyndham. The company is recognized for its passion and ability to deliver electricity to the most challenging of environments involving intense heat and cyclonic conditions.

As the manager of human resources, Ms. Rokich is responsible for developing and implementing the framework that supports the delivery of HR services to Horizon Power's employees. She handles strategic planning, change management and the establishment of standards and practices. Before joining Horizon Power, Ms. Rokich served as manager of a number of HR-related divisions at various companies, including Rio Tinto Iron Ore, WestNet Infrastructure Group, Western Power and Alcoa Australia Pty Ltd. Ms. Rokich attributes much of her success to her love of the human resources field.

Ms. Rokich holds a postgraduate degree in human resources from Deakin University and a certificate in laboratory practices from Bunbury Technical College. She is affiliated with a number of professional organizations, including the Australian Human Resources Institute. Away from the demands of her work, Ms. Rokich enjoys skiing, camping and spending time with her family and friends.
