-- James C. Schroer, Principal of EngageNextGen LLC, has been named a Worldwide Branding Professional of the Year in Management Consulting. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.
Mr. Schroer has four years of experience as Principal of EngageNextGen LLC. Known as "The Marketing Guy," Mr. Schroer manages all day-to-day duties related to the administration of his consulting company. Through EngageNextGen, he helps new ventures go to market, and his services are aimed at making a change in the world. Mr. Schroer attributes his success to having the desire and courage to try new things. He became involved in his profession because of change in his personal life; he needed to be a stay-at-home dad. Expounding his views on marketing, Mr. Schroer feels that "your brand is what folks say about you when you are not in the room." He feels that his greatest strength is in the consumer side of the marketplace.
Mr. Schroer received an MBA from Harvard University in 1975. He serves on New Venture Boards. Formerly, he was the CEO of Carlson Marketing, and a C-suite executive at Ford, Chrysler and RJR. During his time as a partner, he received Booz Allen's Professional Excellence Award. Notably, Mr. Schroer was part of the Dodge "Ya Got a Hemi" and "Mazda Zoom Zoom" turnarounds. To give back to others, he serves as a board member of Gift of Adoption. In years to come, Mr. Schroer will be acquiring new ventures and making a positive difference in the world.
