/Worldwide Who's Who/ -- Alexej V. Pogrebnyakov, Research Scholar for The Pennsylvania State University, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Scientific Research and Development. He received a Ph.D. in physics and mathematics from P.N. Lebedev Physical Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences in Moscow in 1982. He has a degree of Master of Science in solid state physics, earned at Moscow Engineering Physics Institute with honors in 1978.
Dr. Pogrebnyakov specializes in nanotechnology, superconductivity, and engineering physics. With decades of innovative activities in scientific research and development, he is considered a renowned expert in his field. He has made numerous original scientific contributions of high significance and his achievements are well-recognized internationally. Being cited more than 100 times, his papers have produced a large impact in the field of endeavor.
Dr. Pogrebnyakov has been collaborating with scientific and R&D groups at various prominent research centers. The results of his research work were presented at many international conferences and symposiums.
His interests range not only over science and technology, but also include literature, music, art and history.
