Orr, Ph.D., Vice President of Curriculum and Instruction of Heald College, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Education Administration. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

Dr. Orr has 12 years of experience in education administration and joined Heald College as Vice President of Curriculum and Instruction 11 months ago. Her expertise includes enhancing student learning, motivating college-wide teaching and learning initiatives for the design, development, and implementation of curricula, professional development and management of faculty.

Dr. Orr was previously Dean of Education at Colorado Technical University and Senior Director at the Center for Teaching Excellence at Colorado Technical University. She was also Chair of Corporate Training and Knowledge Management and Faculty Development and Performance at Jones International University for four years, where she developed a Education Specialist and Adult Education Doctoral curricula and acquired online experience as a professor, subject matter specialist, doctoral mentor and career program development. Dr. Orr does a great deal of public speaking both at venues such as The Higher Learning Commission and the American Association of Community Colleges. She started her career in investment banking where she held licenses in Series 6, 7, and 22. She attributes her success to the amazing support and mentoring that she has received, and always striving for excellence.

Dr. Orr received her Ph.D. in Higher Eduction Administration at The University of Texas at Austin and a Master's Degree in Adult Education and Organization Development. She also received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture at The University of Texas at Austin. She was acknowledged as Faculty Member of the Year in 2008. In five years, Ms. Orr hopes to continue her work providing people avenues to achieve their potential and write a book on creativity.
