/Worldwide Who's Who/ -- Philip Catania, Abstract Surrealistic Contemporary Master Artist has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Entrepreneur of the Year in fine art. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.
With over 50 years of experience in fine art, Mr. Catania is noted in his industry for his expertise in abstract surrealistic painting. His life's work involves creating and promoting his abstract surrealistic paintings. Over the course of his lifelong journey in art, Mr. Catania uses Charles Pratt's words of wisdom to live by: "Be true to your work, and your work will be true to you." He is also guided by the masters of his field. He is inspired by Pablo Picasso, who stated "It took me 80 years to draw like a child," and Aristotle, who said "The purpose of art is not to represent the outward appearance of things, but their inner significance." He also draws inspiration from Lao Tzu, who stated "The best way to teach is to be," and, "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." Mr. Catania believes that his artistic vision is what separates him from his contemporaries. The highlights of his career were having two paintings displayed in the Louvre, and artwork displayed in two museums in China.
Mr. Catania attributes his success to his talent, passion, hard work, dedication, perseverance, education, and family. He became involved in fine art because he displayed a talent for art at an early age, and was fortunate enough that his parents nurtured his artistic development. The most gratifying aspect of his career is working on the next painting.
Mr. Catania fortified his natural talent by earning a Master of Arts in Therapeutic Techniques in Art Education, a Master of Arts in Education and Therapy and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Arts and Painting. A Pratt Institute Alumni, he is affiliated with the Artists Haven Gallery, Windsor Whip Works Art Gallery, Amsterdam Whitney Gallery, Svenska Konstgalleriet, and Trevisan International Art. He has been honored by Who's Who Art Club International, Who's Who in American Art, Who's Who in International Art and (most recently) was named Entrepreneur of the Year in Fine Art by Worldwide Who's Who.
