/Worldwide Who's Who/ -- Ryan Michael Porter, vice president of institutional and retail lending for Shea Financial Services, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Executive of the Year in Residential Lending. With a longstanding passion for finance, Mr. Porter has gained 15 years of experience in residential lending. He excels in maintaining personable interactions with clients while overseeing and growing the institutional lending portion of the company. As the VP of instutional and retail lending, he is responsible for providing strategic planning and business development, as well as serving his personal clients with an exceptional level of service and communication.
Though Mr. Porter began his career in the golf industry and is certified in golf course management through Edmunds Community College, his passion has always been for finance. Before entering the residential lending field Mr. Porter built and oversaw a private country club for 8 years. With a staff ranging from 25-40, this proved to be an invaluable experience in personal management as well as fiscal responsibility. He holds a department of real estate license from the State of California and a national mortgage loan originators license. He is a member of the Newport Harbor Exchange Club, which proudly serves the community by raising fund to prevent child abuse, donating multiple scholarships every year to numerous young adults to assist in obtaining their higher education, and promoting Americanism. Mr. Porter is also a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Southern California. He enjoys staying in touch with his roots and offering assistance and guidance to those in this industry who so graciously welcomed him into their industry as a young man.
