Worldwide Who's Who Names Vice President Laurence Smith Executive of the Year in Project Management

Mr. Smith has more than 35 years of leadership experience in aerospace and telecommunications. He became involved in his profession after gaining experience in the aerospace industry and getting recruited into telecommunications. His many accomplishments include delivering telecommunications infrastructure for NGN, IMS and HSBB technologies with OSS / BSS vertical integration. In addition, he has led multinational teams in the build-operate-transfer of large-scale communications networks in a number of global locations. Mr. Smith obtained his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees through part-time study, undertaken while he worked full time in the aerospace and telecommunications industries in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. He holds a graduate diploma in information and communication technology with a specialization in aerospace and telecommunications from the University of Melbourne. He holds a bachelor's degree in educational training, also earned at the University of Melbourne. Mr. Smith (CPPD) is a certified practicing project director, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Project Management, the Royal Aeronautical Society.
