With diligence and compassion, he has provided more than 30 years of expert care as a general and laparoscopic surgeon at L.I. Premier Medical Care PLLC where he does general and laparoscopic surgery as well as surgery for cancer, including breast and gastrointestinal cancer.
Outside of his surgery hours, Dr. Taranto previously taught anatomy at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. A stalwart in his field, he has been recognized as the Outstanding Professional of the Year, Top Industry Expert, selected for Elite American Physicians and has been featured in Pro-Files Magazine. Dr. Taranto greatest career achievements were making the transition from Ecuadorian medicine to American medicine, and having to deal with the two different health systems between South America and America.
To keep abreast of his dynamic industry, he is affiliated with the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, Inc., American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association and American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
