The difficulty in getting paid $30,500 owed from the sale of this classic car caused Classic Car Collector Rodney Ross to create KruseAuctionRipOff.com.
DALLAS-FORT WORTH, TX, January 22, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Classic car collector Rodney Ross decided to sell his Lincoln Model K Limousine at Kruse Auctions Labor Day Weekend sale on September 3-8, 2009 in Auburn, Indiana. "It wasn't easy to part with my Lincoln limousine because it had only 30,000 original miles and was in very good condition," said Ross.

Although the car was expected to bring $50,000, it sold to a friend of Dean Kruse's, Mark Hyman of Hyman Ltd, for $30,500 only after Ross lowered his reserve in exchange for a promise by Kruse to waive his commission on the sale.

"At the hammer price, I lost money on the car for sure, but I didn't want to ship it back to Texas," said Ross. When Ross sought the proceeds from the sale of his classic car from Kruse Auctions, he was first told that the buyer had not paid and then that the buyer was in Florida.

"Car auctions don't release the vehicle to the buyer until they have been paid, so if Kruse never received payment, then I would like to have my car back. If they did, then I would like a check for the money they owe me," said Ross.

It appears that Ross is not the only seller with a story about not getting paid by Dean Kruse and Kruse Auctions International for cars auctioned. Other car collectors are telling similar stories of non-payment by Kruse International. Several stories have appeared in the media about sellers not getting paid by Dean Kruse.

Ross wants other vintage auto collectors to avoid the problems that he has had with Dean Kruse and has created a website to allow car collectors to learn about his experience with Kruse Auctions before they consign a car and to help those waiting for payment to get the latest information. The website is http://www.KruseAuctionRipoff.com.

"I've called, written, and e-mailed and now I'm at the point where I think drawing attention to what has happened to me and to other collectors may get action from the authorities in Indiana where Kruse Auctions is based and the authorities in the states where Kruse International has car auctions scheduled. It really is seller beware for those who consign vehicles to Kruse International."

"I'm hopeful that the site will allow other sellers to tell their stories and draw attention to the need for Kruse Auctions to get these issues resolved fairly," said Ross.

Members of the media or law enforcement wishing to contact Rodney Ross about his dealings with Kruse Auctions may do so at 817.320.7628 or by e-mail at rodneyross@sbcglobal.net. Others owed money from the auction of a classic or exotic car by Kruse Auctions International are encouraged to share their stories on the website.
