Xfuel adds Matt Kleman to fuel its Xtreme Sports

    FREEHOLD, NJ, February 01, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Staying consistent with their theme of "Take it to the Next Level" Xfuel has brought on Matt Kleman as Director of their Xtreme Sports sales and marketing expansion. Matt has a background as both a competitor and marketer in both the skate and snow board industries. Matt will focus on NJ, NY, PA, DE, MD, and VA and will be putting together board and street teams to further the grassroots expansion of the Xfuel brand.

Alex Gere was asked to comment on their departure from strictly the video gamer market, "This is not new to us; I have always been involved in board sports and have the pinning scars from my broken bones to prove it! We picked video gamers to start with because I am an avid gamer and understand that market - what gamers want and like. You will find most Xtreme and traditional athletes are also gamers; gaming is the one thing that we all have in common. Everyone wants to skate like Tony Hawk, race a Ferrari on the streets of Miami, take down John Cena or save the world on Halo 3."

Backing up those statements a Fox News Poll revealed ninety-seven percent of young respondents play video games - 99% boys and 94% girls, with little difference in the percentages among various racial and ethnic groups and incomes. Another survey reveled 94% of all Xtreme Sports participants play some type of video game and according to the Washington Post 40 % of American adults play games. Very few companies have been able to put a dent in the gamer marketplace, Mountain Dew, Dr Pepper and Monster have all launched short lived and often not repeated campaigns to entice that gamer market.

Joe Gere (Alex's dad) was asked about his thoughts on this, "I scouted Matt at a tradeshow, he and his team have a passion, and they are very professional when it comes to sales yet maintain the image and lifestyle consistent with this market. He is not representative of a varsity football player he is a 'boarder' true and true." He later commented that the business was growing and they were look outside for people that can help grow. Good things seem to be happening for this tiny company, this writer can see an acquisition in the future.
