Kimbo Slice Supports Autism Awareness In & Out of the Ring With the Help of Team Kimbo & Mike Imber

Along with the help of Team Kimbo and manager Mike Imber, Kimbo Slice hopes to use his next pro boxing match as an opportunity to promote Autism Awareness and the Autism Society.

MIAMI, FL, March 21, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Recently, Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson picked up the third consecutive win in his professional boxing career versus Charles Hackman on December of 2011. On March 23rd, 2012, Kimbo Slice will face his next opponent at the O'Reily Center in Springfield, Missouri, where he'll be looking to keep his undefeated record intact. Along with the help of Team Kimbo and manager Mike Imber, Kimbo Slice also hopes to use the event as an opportunity to promote Autism Awareness and the Autism Society.

The Autism Society, the nation's leading grassroots autism organization, makes a difference in the lives of all individuals affected by autism by providing unmatched support in communities nationwide. Through a large network of national chapters, the Autism Society promotes education, proactive advocacy and equal access to services and supports. Throughout its history, the Autism Society has been a reliable source for extensive and unbiased information on autism.

You can join Kimbo Slice and Team Kimbo in their mission to promote Autism Awareness by getting involved with the Autism Society and helping out in any way you can. Even the smallest donation can make a huge difference and you don't have to be a professional boxer or mixed martial arts fighter to make a difference.

However, it does help to have some celebrity status. That's why, along with an undisclosed monetary contribution, Kimbo Slice is donating the same pair of gloves he'll use to win his next match to the Autism Society. Team Kimbo and Mike Imber hope to work with the Autism Society to help the organization financially and help shine a spotlight on the incredible work the Autism Society does every day.

When asked why Team Kimbo decided to contribute to Autism Awareness over other charities, long time friend and manager "Icey" Mike Imber said, "Although Kimbo Slice has a very public image as fighter, most people don't know about the work Kimbo has done for charities in the past. Contributing to the Autism Society of America became a priority for Kimbo immediately after his youngest son was diagnosed with autism."
