    LONDON, ENGLAND, March 29, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Virgin London Marathon, one of the largest running events in the world, will see runners race toward the finish line on Sunday 22 April.

First held in 1981, the London Marathon has quickly grown into an international event on par with other major marathons like Boston, New York, Chicago, and Berlin. The course, which spans 42.195 kilometers, takes runners through iconic British landmarks like Old Royal Naval College, Tower Bridge, and St Paul's Cathedral and is relatively flat and fast.
