He was originally planning on pursuing a Master of Business Administration but earned certification as an accountant and kept progressing from there in the finance, accounting, taxation and management areas.

A native of Gujarat, India, Mr. Shah received a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. In addition to his formal education, he is a Certified Public Accountant (USA) and a Certified General Accountant (Canada). As such, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified General Accountants.
