An accomplished attorney with nearly four decades of professional experience, Mr. DiMascio has been serving as partner at DiMascio & Associates LLP since 2004, having previously held the roles of associate and partner with its predecessor, DiMascio, Meisner & Koopersmith, since 1984. As a founding partner of the firm, he specializes in all phases of family law, including divorce law, child custody and visitation, appeals, orders of protection, domestic partnership and equitable distribution of marital assets and debts. Prior to this position, Mr. DiMascio held the role of associate at Joel R. Brandes, PC, and a senior court officer at the New York State Supreme Court.

After serving 7 years in the U.S. Navy, Mr. DiMascio pursued a formal education at C.W. Post College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in 1975. He subsequently attended Long Island University, obtaining a Master of Arts in 1976. After completing three years at New York University as a Ph.D candidate, he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. John's University in 1983. Mr. DiMascio has since been admitted to practice in all of the New York State Courts, as well as the United States Supreme Court, the Federal Court of Appeals for the Second and Federal Circuits, the Federal District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the Federal Court of Claims and the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.

Passionate about his community, Mr. DiMascio serves in a number of civic engagements, including as a member of the Planning Board for the City of Glen Cove since 2014. Recognized for his pro bono service by the Safe Center LI, formerly known as the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence, he is also a trustee of the North Shore Historical Museum, and the North Shore Sheltering Program, and a member of the board of directors of Historic Royal Palaces, Inc. Additionally, Mr. DiMascio dedicated his time and expertise as a lecturer at the Nassau Academy of Law.

In an effort to remain aware of recent developments within the industry, Mr. DiMascio maintains affiliation with several organizations, including the Nassau County Bar Association, where he was the former chair of the matrimonial law committee and member of the board of directors. He has also been active with the American Bar Association, and the New York Bar Association, where he has remained a member of the family law committee since 1982.

In light of his exceptional accomplishments in the field of law, Mr. DiMascio has accrued numerous accolades throughout his impressive career. AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell for more than 25 years, he is listed in the Registrar of Preeminent Lawyers and is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation. In addition, Mr. DiMascio has been recognized each year as a Top Legal Eagle by Long Island Pulse Magazine and was named Attorney of the Year by the Nassau County Bar Association in 2008.
