Spirited Irish Music: Cady Finlayson & Vita Tanga add Tacoma, WA show to West Coast Tour

    TACOMA, WA, June 25, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On July 13th at 7 p.m., Cady Finlayson & Vita Tanga will bring Spirited Irish music to Tacoma, WA, kicking off their West Coast tour with a newly-added show at The Mandolin Cafe, 3923 South 12th St., Tacoma, WA 98405. No cover.
This New York City fiddle/guitar duo plays Spirited Irish fiddle with a global twist, blending traditional Irish tunes with American folk and world music influences.

Cady FInlayson, fiddle
Originally from Seattle, WA, Cady Finlayson has brought her Spirited Irish fiddling to 33 states, performing at venues including the Jacob Javits Center, Cleveland State Theater, and the Brooklyn Museum of Art. She studied Irish fiddle in Limerick, Ireland at the Blas World Music Centre, and has been an ambassador for Irish music ever since. Music from her Harp and Shamrock CD can be heard in Irish-American baseball movie, The Emerald Diamond. Her other CDs include Irish Coffee (the latest CD) and Shines Like Silver.

Vita Tanga, guitar
Vita has performed and recorded on four continents, from Radio City Music Hall in New York to Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris - his hometown. A sought-after composer in World/Urban music and film scoring, Vita brings his world music influences to the duo. Vita met Cady while playing on the First National Tour of Almost Heaven (a show about John Denver) and they have been playing Irish music together ever since.
