Englishbox: The Revolution In Online Language Training - James Simmonds Launches The First Browser Based E- Learning Solution For Interactive Language Courses

The Hannover-based business in Germany offers an easy to understand, online, e-learning solution which can be used by any internet user with a fast internet connection.

HANNOVER, GERMANY, October 05, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James Simmonds' Hanover language school ‚ has created a revolutionary tool for a modern way of teaching: Englishbox. For the first time it will be possible to make language training available in real time to anyone who owns a computer and a fast internet connection - without tedious software installation.

The Englishbox operates like a virtual classroom. The student chooses an online English lesson and participates via video chat. The Englishbox offers all the features found in a real lesson. Students and teachers can see each other. A multimedia interactive whiteboard enables the presentation of text, pictures, PowerPoint presentations and video, all of which help to facilitate the learning process. A private chat facility supports communication between the student and the teacher.

Tomas Busse, the co-founder of Englishbox explained, "When we created the Englishbox, creating a connection between real people was one of our priorities. We wanted to create a classroom-like setting, which offered a comparable experience to the face-to-face lessons we've been offering for years. This is why we decided to use a video chat interface. People can see each other, talk to each other and react to what's being taught in real time."

The Englishbox has 3 virtual classrooms, the private, one-to-one room, a group classroom for up to six people, and a lecture room for up to 1000 students. This completely browser-based all-in-one solution does not require any additional software installation for the user. The student merely requires a browser, a webcam, a microphone and a pair of headphones.

"We are very happy with the result", says James. "Englishbox has created completely new dimensions and possibilities for language training. The system can be used all over the world regardless of where you are. We can record all lessons so they can be watched at a later time. This means that students can re-watch the recording of their lesson and deepen their understanding. Englishbox is offering an educational, e-learning solution which even exceeds the limitations of face-to-face English lessons.

Technical Background
The Englishbox was programmed in typo3 and flex (flash). It runs on an Adobe Flash Media Interactive Server. An internet connection with a minimum speed of a 1000 DSL and the Adobe Flash plug-in is required.
