SAN FRANCISCO, CA, November 14, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tracker Corp, http://trackercorp.com, provider of the immigration management software used by 75% of top-rated immigration law firms, today announced the addition of even more error-checking, time-saving and deadline-alerting features in the latest release of its Tracker I-9 software. Here are just a few of the new features and their benefits:

One-Step Import Paper I-9 screen is the fastest way to meet E-Verify for Federal Contractor mandates. Many companies are going through the laborious effort of preparing their existing paper Form I-9s for E-Verify. The new Import Historical I-9 tool increases productivity by allowing HR managers to input only those fields required for E-Verify and skip the rest, greatly reducing the time and effort to meet the E-Verify deadline.

At-a-glance, mini reports keep managers on top of needed actions and deadlines. Upon login, the Home Page now displays approaching deadlines for the four critical actions on pending I-9 and E-Verify records, listing the work site, employee name, start date and due date. The reports alert managers to missing Section 1 and Section 2 signatures, all E-Verify cases that need to be submitted or require manager attention and reverifications due for any employees whose work authorization is set to expire. These reports are just one more way that Tracker I-9 reminds HR staff to complete I-9s on-time and ensure compliance across the entire organization.

Additional email reminders save managers time and provide them with critical oversight. Until now, HR managers for large organizations or with remotely hired employees could easily miss the three day rule for completing Section 2 after employees complete and sign Section 1. Tracker I-9 now automatically sends the HR manager an email when any New Hire signs Section 1 using the Employee Login feature. HR managers have also faced the burden of logging onto the E-Verify web site daily to check for cases that have been referred to the Social Security Administration (SSA) or Department of Homeland Security (DHS), such as when a response to an Initial Verification results in a tentative nonconfirmation (TNC). Now when the government makes an employment eligibility decision, Tracker I-9 automatically emails the HR manager, saving valuable time and helping prevent cases accidentally passing into non-compliance.

To help further simplify and reduce the risk of errors in the process, other new Tracker I-9 features include guidance for special handling of I-9s for under age 18 employees (helpful for retailers, quick-serve restaurants or other companies who hire teenagers), automatic detection of not-legally-valid Social Security numbers (SSNs have not yet been allocated by the U.S. government) and intelligent limiting of applicable document choices in Section 2 based on citizenship status specified in Section 1.

"These enhancements solidify Tracker I-9's position as the most compliant I-9 software by making electronic Form I-9s even more error-resistant and helping ensure timely responses to E-Verify deadlines and issues," says Tracker Corp president Fred Colman. "This makes compliance even easier for large organizations or universities who demand consistency and control across multiple work sites or disparate departments."

Tracker I-9 compliance software provides secure, streamlined I-9 preparation, automatic error detection, certified one-click E-Verify, customized reporting and a flexible application programming interface (API) for syncing with existing payroll or HR applications.
