Bayern Munich prepare to take on Fiorentina in the Champions League

Munich's biggest football club is preparing for the next challenge in its Champions League campaign - a match against Fiorentina in February.

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, December 27, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bayern Munich are preparing themselves for the next hurdle in their bid to lift the Champions League title.

On February 17th, Munich hotels will no doubt be busy as the city's biggest football club takes on Fiorentina.

The Italian side will be in high spirits after their win over Lyon in the group stage of the competition put former winners Liverpool out of the running.

However, Bayern Munich have an impressive home record which could make life difficult for the travelling side.

The German team have lost just one game at the Allianz Arena so far this season and are well-positioned in their home league, where they currently sit third.

Munich's past performances in the Champions League suggest that the Fiorentina fixture could be a thrilling encounter.

Tickets for the clash start from EUR40 (GBP35.71) for seats behind either goal and reach EUR100 for those running along the length of the pitch.

Commenting on the Champions League match, Jessica Reading, head of marketing for LateRooms, said: "We strongly urge people thinking of going to the Bayern Munich versus Fiorentina fixture and who need hotel Munchen to book early to avoid disappointment."

Matches in the German league have finished for the winter break, however, anyone keen to see Bayern Munich in action before the Champions League game may want to attend the club's next home fixture, against Hoffenheim on January 17th.
