Tickle your taste buds with a trip to the Pitti Immagine Taste in Florence in March.

FLORENCE, ITALY, January 28, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Travellers with a love of food may be interested in a culinary event taking place in Florence in March.

The Pitti Immagine Taste is designed to appeal to anyone who enjoys sampling the delights of a wide range of foods.

According to the organisers, it will take visitors on "a unique tour dedicated to excellence and biodiversities in food in our global era".

People staying in hotels in Florence will need to make their way to the Stazione Leopolda to sample the delights on offer.

Exhibitors will offer visitors a chance to experience genuine Italian cuisine, with a range of unusual flavours and products to nibble on.

They include hams baked in medieval ovens to chocolates made from Parmigiano Reggiano and even aged buffalo milk cheese.

Doors at the food festival will open on March 13th at 10:30 (local time), with the event running for ten hours each day until March 15th, when the show will close early.

Tickets cost EUR10 (GBP8.77) and will allow tourists and locals alike to discover the tastes and smells of Italian cuisine.

Taste is the newest of all the Pitti Immagine events, which also include Uomo - which focuses on fashion - and Fragranze, which delves into the world of perfumery, cosmetics and wellness treatments.

"LateRooms anticipates heavy demand for hotel Firenze due to the Pitti Immagine Taste event and recommends that people attending book their accommodation early," says LateRooms head of marketing Jess Reading.
