Ohio Internet Marketing Firm, Webbed Marketing, Announces Spring Conference Schedule

Internet marketing firm in Columbus, Ohio, to speak at several social media and Internet marketing events this spring.

COLUMBUS, OH, February 11, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Webbed Marketing, a social media marketing and search engine optimization company in central Ohio, will be presenting locally and nationally for several companies and organizations this spring, including Netsmart Technologies, the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare and SCORE Columbus.

The firm's events will begin with Webbed Marketing's February webinar, Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m., addressing mobile marketing. Bill Balderaz, Webbed Marketing's founder and CEO, will highlight what you need to know about mobile marketing and how to implement it in conjunction with your current marketing campaigns.

"We've all heard the buzz about mobile marketing, but now the buzz is fading and tactics are emerging," Balderaz said. "The age-old marketing model of 'tell consumers what they need and convince them to buy it,' is long gone; the new model says, 'listen to what the consumer tells us they want and engage them in conversation.'"

One day later, Webbed Marketing will host the February Ohio Web Leaders (OWL) breakfast Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 a.m.at TechColumbus. This month's breakfast will highlight social media and online marketing for non-profit groups and causes. Kelli Robinson, from Chapel Hill House, a central Ohio retreat for children battling cancer and their families, will discuss how the recent tragedy in Haiti has shown how social media can unite support for causes and non-profit groups. As an Iron Girl triathlete, Robinson will walk through her journey using social media and the Internet to raise money and awareness for Chapel Hill House.

Also on Feb. 18, Webbed Marketing will present to more than 30 members of the Mid-Ohio Development Exchange (MODE). MODE is a regional economic development organization for the mid-Ohio region, and it was founded to facilitate attracting new businesses to the area, to work with existing businesses on retention and expansion needs, to improve the education and training of development professionals and to address issues that affect the development and business community. Webbed Marketing will discuss best practices in social media, using video channels like YouTube, to address MODE's mission and goals.

In March, Webbed Marketing will host two social media sessions at the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare's 40th National Mental Health and Addictions Conference & Expo in Disney, FL, which is March 15-17. Headliners for the event are Malcolm Gladwell, author of acclaimed best-seller, "The Tipping Point," and Howard Dean, Governor of Vermont, presidential candidate, or chairperson of the Democratic National Committee.

"Webbed Marketing is honored to speaking nationally at events this spring," Balderaz said. "Working and speaking alongside such prominent speakers will allow us to network and share our expertise with a larger pool of professionals; we're really excited about the opportunities this holds for Webbed Marketing."

Another opportunity for Webbed Marketing will be the panel discussion on "Social Media in a New Economy for Retail," at the Columbus Fashion Group International (FGI) meeting on March 10, from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Arena Grand Theater. FGI is a global, non-profit, professional organization with 5,000 members in the fashion industry including apparel, accessories, beauty and home. Retail was one of the hardest hit industries in 2008 and 2009, and FGI found that many companies were changing strategies to survive in a new economy- where the consumer mindset was also new. On the FGI social media panel, Webbed Marketing will address the changing retail and product strategies needed to support the buying patterns of consumers in this changing economy.

On Monday, March 15, Webbed Marketing will share its expertise with SCORE Columbus. SCORE Columbus provides free and confidential business advice and counseling tailored to meet the needs of small businesses and personal objectives. SCORE Columbus also offers workshops, for a modest fee, for start-ups and in-business entrepreneurs. Webbed Marketing will be featured at the March workshop to discuss social media and how to implement successful campaigns today.

The Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program (OOGEEP) will also host a workshop in Columbus, Thursday, March 18 from 9-11 a.m., to address social media industry training. Balderaz will highlight how social media is affecting industries like oil and gas, providing case studies and how-to tactics.

In April, Webbed Marketing will present at a TechColumbus event, "Maximizing and Measuring Your Social Media Marketing and ROI." On April 22, Webbed Marketing will be on a panel of several industry leaders that have had success proving their social media ROI to clients.
Finally, May 3-6, Balderaz will provide an engaging look at social media with a behavioral healthcare focus for the Annual Netsmart Technologies Customer Conference "Connections 2010" in San Diego, CA. The pragmatic session will focus on what health executives need to know about social media. The keynote speaker at the event will be Richard Simmons.

Webbed Marketing's impressive spring speaking engagment line-up was kicked off with a professional development seminar for AAF-Akron and CAF in early February. Balderaz discussed how businesses and marketing, advertising and PR professionals could associate hard results with social media campaigns. In addition, Webbed Marketing was a sponsor of the TechColumbus Innovation Awards, and implemented live social media updates throughout the event, to engage with those at the event, which included 1,100 participants, and keep people who were engaging at home informed with live updates.
