Breakdown Services, Ltd.'s Actors Access Supports NOARC's Contest to Help Give Louisiana Actors a Chance to Shine

Four lucky winners will have their names drawn to win exclusive sessions with Louisiana's premiere casting directors and talent representatives.

LOS ANGELES, CA, February 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The New Orleans Actors Resource Center (NOARC), is a non-profit, membership-based organization developed for the advancement, exposure and ongoing education of actors in the New Orleans metropolitan area. The organization, along with Actors Access, the most widely used online casting portal will be hosting its second acting workshop, The Casting Workshop. The event will take place on March 13, 2010 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM at Raleigh Studios in Baton Rouge.

Four hopeful actors, out of all of the participants in the workshop, will have their names drawn for the experience of preparing a cold-reading audition to be taped and critiqued by some of the most in-demand casting directors and talent representatives in Louisiana. They will get an advantageous inside peek at how auditions and the online casting process works. Meanwhile, the audience will learn from the four winners' critiques.

The winners will be working with a panel of experts, including Casting Directors Lisa Marie Dupree of Films in Motion and Hank Langlois of Caballero Casting, and Talent Representatives Lawrence Turner of Del Corral Model & Talent and Tabitha Bryant Huffman of Trinity Talent. They will conduct real cold-reading auditions where the winners will have one hour to prepare their materials, audition and then be critiqued by the group of top industry professionals.

Last year, the founder of Breakdown Services, Gary Marsh, along with the head of Breakdown Services' Chicago office, Jason Teresi, participated in the first workshop that NOARC hosted. The event was a huge success, standing room only. Due to its popularity, NOARC recognized a true need for actor resources in Louisiana and invited Breakdown Services to participate in another workshop.

NOARC is comprised of four programs: The Actors' Co-Op, The Workshop Series, an Actors Library and Acting Classes. Membership is $100 yearly and includes discounts to all workshops.
