Ditka, NFL Former Players Geared Up To Champion The Cause With New Lenox Rotary Club May 8th

Mike Ditka, keynote speaker at New Lenox Rotary Club "Night Of Champions" May 8th: proceeds to benefit thousands of those in need, former NFL players to attend.



    NEW LENOX, IL, May 03, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- More than a dozen former NFL players have committed to join former Chicago Bears Coach and Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund (GGAF) Chairman Mike Ditka on Saturday, May 8, as GGAF and the Retired Professional Football Players of Chicago (RPFPC) come together for the first time to raise funds in conjunction with the New Lenox Rotary Club.

The charity event, "Night of Champions," will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Dinolfo's Banquet Hall in Homer Glen and is expected to draw hundreds of guests. Dinolfo's is located southwest of Chicago at 14447 West 159th Street, less than 1 mile east on 159th off south I-355.

In addition to Ditka, NFL former players scheduled to appear include: 1985 Super Bowl Chicago Bears Shaun Gayle, and NFL veterans Shafer Suggs, Tim Tyrrell, Bruce Herron, Dave Casper, Marques Sullivan, Johnny Roland, Mark Dennis, Reggie L. Smith, Jason Burnes, Tom Hicks, Ronnie Bull, Brian Glasgow, Steven Hirsch, Greg Bloedorn, Nolan Harrison, and John Janata.

Tickets for the event, sales of which have been extended until Wednesday, May 5, are $100 per person. Keynote speaker Mike Ditka is scheduled to address the crowd at 9:00 p.m. Representatives from the NFLPA-Former Players (Chicago Chapter)/RPFPC and Rotary Club also will speak.
