Pacific Marine Expo - the West Coast's Largest Commercial Marine and Fishing Trade Show - Announces 2010 Seattle Show Dates of November 18-20; New National Fisherman Profitable Harvest Forum Scheduled

Pacific Marine Expo, the West Coast's largest commercial marine trade show, will be held November 18-20 in Seattle. Added to the 2010 Expo is a new National Fisherman magazine event, "National Fisherman Profitable Harvest: Direct to Market Forum."

    SEATTLE, WA, May 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pacific Marine Expo, the West Coast's largest commercial marine trade show, announced it will be held at Seattle's Qwest Field Event Center from November 18-20. The 43rd annual Pacific Marine Expo will bring maritime and fishing industry leaders from 40 states and 17 countries to Seattle for the only trade event dedicated exclusively to the pacific maritime industry.

"The 2010 Expo will showcase the equipment, gear and services needed to keep a commercial marine business efficient and productive," said Mike Lodato, Group Vice President, Diversified Business Communications, which produces the Expo. "It is by far the best opportunity of the year to reach key decision makers within the industry."

New for 2010, National Fisherman magazine is also pleased to announce it is adding a new one-day event, National Fisherman Profitable Harvest: Direct to Market Forum, which is designed to help fishermen gain the know-how to process, market and sell their own product to retailers, restaurateurs, and consumers.

Lodato said the new National Fisherman Profitable Harvest: Direct to Market Forum, which will be held on Wednesday, November 17, at Qwest Field Event Center, is designed to help fishermen improve the quality of a catch, increase results from marketing efforts and provide the tools to take advantage of direct-to-market business.

"With the rise of Internet and global marketing, the world has become a smaller place, giving fishermen the opportunity to become their own direct marketers," said Jerry Fraser, National Fisherman Editor in Chief. "The Forum will be a tremendous opportunity to learn about the business resources needed to engage in direct market harvesting."

The 2010 Pacific Marine Expo
"This show is an incredible opportunity to see and talk with a lot of people. We see people here who are very serious about buying a new boat or repowering their boat. There's nothing else like this Show," said Steve Peake, HamiltonJet.

Pacific Marine Expo is the largest and longest running commercial marine tradeshow on the West Coast. The Expo serves all aspects of the market, including commercial vessels owners, commercial fishermen, boat builders, workboat operators and seafood processors. PME gives exhibitors and attendees the opportunity to meet face-to-face to discuss the hottest products, innovative ideas and new services.

Lodato noted the 2009 Expo attracted nearly 500 exhibitors. He said visitors at Pacific Marine Expo are a loyal and powerful buying force; 87% are looking for new products and suppliers, 60% place orders at the show or within six months, and 51% attend only Pacific Marine Expo.

"In a tough economy, this show gives marine businesses a competitive edge," said Mike Porter of Tacoma Diesel.

...Understand the tools that will give them a competitive advantage;

...Hear which business resources are needed to engage in direct market harvesting; and,
