Ben Barnes Promotes New Book: Barn Burning, Barn Building

Former Lt. Governor of Texas, Ben Barnes promotes his new book: Barn Burning, Barn Building. Ben Barnes will appear on a series of talk shows to discuss his new book.

/24-7PressRelease/ - July 08, 2006 - Ben Barnes is the author of "Barn Burning, Barn Building," an insider's view at Texas politics in the 1960s, when Democrats dominated the nation's political landscape, holding the most powerful offices in the state and country. Lyndon B. Johnson was President of the United States, John Connally was Governor of Texas and Ben Barnes was a rising star for the Democratic Party. Barnes' intimate knowledge comes from being elected to the Texas House of Representatives, Speaker of the House and Lieutenant Governor - accomplished by age 30. "Barn Burning, Barn Building" is Ben Barnes' personal account of the Democrats rise to power and fall from power as the dominant party in Texas. Not just a historical recounting, Ben Barnes offers analysis to improve America's political structure and proposes a new plan for Democrats to return to glory.
