Ephraim House - Ephraim and Manti Guest House Lodging

The Ephraim House, a restored pioneer home in Ephraim, Utah, is available as lodging for families and small groups traveling to the Ephraim and Manti, Utah area.

ST. GEORGE, UT, July 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Located in Ephraim, Utah, the restored home has two floors available for use as a family or small group meeting and lodging facility. The house is located on Main Street, US 89, in the central Utah town of Ephraim. Its location makes it convenient for travelers visiting Snow College, or the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

"We have worked hard to create a sense of the pioneer era in the house," said Randal Labrum, Owner and Proprietor of the home. "The restoration and the period furnishings help people feel like Canute Peterson and his family were just here yesterday," he said.

The home has three bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom on the main floor and has sleeping accommodations for 8-10 people. The home has a working kitchen, stocked with common items. Reservation inquiries can be made at the home's website: www.ephraimhouse.com.

Built in 1869, by Canute Peterson as his personal residence, the home has been a meeting place for many local historical events. Many friendly meetings with local Indian Chiefs were held in this home. A marker across the street from the house commemorates the location where the peace treaty with the Black Hawk Indian tribe was finalized. He served as the Bishop and later, as Stake President of the Sanpete Stake until his death in 1902.
