DAYTON, OH, August 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Since 2008, Habitatter.com has been offering the highest quality in home decorating accessories. In a continuing effort to improve their selection, Habitatter.com announced today the addition of wind chimes and bells in four major styles; bell wind chimes, object wind chimes, sectional wind chimes and tube wind chimes.

Wind chimes provide a beautiful piece of decorative art as well as soothing tones whenever the wind blows. The four styles each have their own unique properties, which affect the tonal qualities:

- Bell wind chimes typically have a single bell, which is rung by the clapper whenever wind blows the weighted pendulum.
- Object wind chimes have a main bell with object shaped pieces (like dolphins or birds) hanging down that make noise when they strike each other in the wind.
- Sectional wind chimes tend to look like a solid object, but have several layers close together that strike each other and the clapper when wind blows the chime.
- Tube wind chimes, probably the most common type, are made up of metal tubes or rods of differing lengths rung when the tube strikes a central clapper.

Greg Simerlink, owner of Habitatter.com, said, "I have always loved the sound of wind chimes and am happy to add these pieces to our selection. I feel that any of these wind chimes could stand on its own as a piece of decorative art. The fact that they also produce sound makes them something anybody would be pleased to have outside their home."

Habitatter.com sells a diverse selection of decorative home hardware primarily created by small artists from around the US and Canada. Their primary collection focuses on switch plates and outlet covers, but they also have an array of cabinet pulls and cabinet knobs, doorbells, door knockers, house numbers, fan pulls, picture hangers, switch plate accessories, Decorative Signs, key racks, wall light sconce covers, coat hooks and dog leash hooks.
