Physical Therapy Exercise Software Becomes More Popular Among U.S. Clinics

Prognition Corp. has been successful in introducing more American physical therapy clinics to Mavenlive exercise software.

WINNIPEG, MB, September 24, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Prognition Corp., the makers of Mavenlive, recently reported that a growing number of physical therapy clinics in the United States are trying the physical therapy exercise software.

The increase in interest for the physical therapy documentation software is the partial result of the company's efforts to market the product on the Internet with a search engine optimization campaign, said Mike Gauthier, Prognition's vice president of product development.

"We have been able to reach more physical therapists in the U.S. by diligently working on our SEO efforts," Gauthier said. "We're appearing on page 1 and 2 on Google for our keywords, and that is proving to be effective in helping therapists easily find us online."

Many physical therapists and managers of physical therapy clinics who inquire about Mavenlive say that they learned about the rehab exercise software while searching online, he said.

The number of Mavenlive trials by U.S. clients has increased since May from three per month to 16 per month in August. In addition to picking up clients in the U.S. and Canada, more than 100 clients internationally have signed up to try the software.

Mavenlive is a web-based software that streamlines the process of recording physical therapy assessments electronically. It presents best practice patient assessments, enables therapists to easily prescribe rehabilitation exercises to patients through its decision support technology, and automatically generates customizable documentation, reports and doctor referral letters, said Dr. Jay Winburn, president of Prognition Corp. The advantage to using Mavenlive is further enhanced by the fact that each of these areas is customizable, so its users can personalize Mavenlive to their needs.

The increased interest also has uncovered the need for making Mavenlive work in conjunction with other software systems already in place at various clinics.

"Many of these clinics and practices have patient management or billing systems already in place, and they want Mavenlive to integrate into some of these existing IT systems," he said.
The goal is to avoid making extra work for staff, such as entering the same information into two different systems.

"It's definitely something we've been able to accomplish, which I believe has made Mavenlive even more marketable," Gauthier said.
