The novel of Moonfleet was originally published in 1898 with a film adaptation released in 1955 and several other versions also appearing over the past 50 years.

Meanwhile, this theatrical interpretation is sure to provide parents and their children with an entertaining evening, as the performers are critically acclaimed and the storyline is fun and inspirational.

Guests at Liverpool hotels will be able to catch Moonfleet at 19:30 BST on Friday, while the Saturday performance is a matinee show at 16:30.

Tickets for the production cost GBP10, but there are concessionary prices available, including a family ticket for GBP28 that admits two adults and two children.
