Submittal Exchange to Launch New LEED Management Software at Greenbuild

The collaborative tool allows teams to communicate, track and manage LEED project information in an online environment.

MINNETONKA, MN, November 09, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Submittal Exchange, a collaborative online system for exchanging, reviewing, and archiving construction submittals, RFIs, and other construction communications, today announced a new product, Greengrade, a web-based LEED management software tool that allows project teams to communicate, track, and manage LEED project information in a centralized online environment.

Recognizing the increasing need for a collaborative tool to manage the LEED process, Submittal Exchange released Greengrade as a solution that all members of a LEED project can access, contribute to and use to clearly see the progress toward project certification. The new LEED management system will be officially launched at this year's Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, November 16 - 18 in Chicago, Illinois, and will be on display at Booth #290 in the Expo Hall.

"With increasing interest in LEED, there is a need for a better way to manage the intensive administration associated with certification," said Matt Ostanik, LEED AP and President of Submittal Exchange. "The typical LEED project spends tens of thousands of dollars on paperwork and administration costs alone. Submittal Exchange as a company has always been dedicated to helping the industry save time and reduce costs through more efficient processes, so extending our technological expertise to tackle the LEED process was a natural next step."

The Greengrade solution was originally created by Chris Gage, LEED AP, an experienced LEED consultant, and developed for over two years before being acquired by Submittal Exchange. Greengrade will be available in two versions, a stand-alone application and an integrated application within the Submittal Exchange website. The integrated version combines the benefits of LEED management tools with the powerful Submittal Exchange workflow system for design and construction communications.

Greengrade's LEED management features include:

* Task Management - assign credit-related tasks to team members and track progress
* Updates - team members see project status at a glance, in real-time
* File Uploads - upload supporting documentation for individual credits
* Credit Scorecards - scorecards are updated in real-time and can be printed
* Built-in Calculators and Custom Reports - access the information you need at any time
* Team Messaging - communicate with other team members on your progress
* Flexible - Strategies and resources for multiple LEED rating systems
* New Features - because it's on-line, you get regular updates and improvements

"Greengrade facilitates communication and collaboration around the LEED credit structure, throughout the life of the project, not just during final documentation," said Chris Gage, LEED AP. "The dynamic online environment is an invaluable time saver for any green building project. Greengrade focuses on resources and tools to prepare and organize your team to have the best experience managing your LEED project's certification."
