Realityworks, Inc. 2010 RealCare Educator of the Year to be Awarded at Association of Career and Technical Education Annual Convention

Firm to honor educator for award-winning class work at annual ACTE national conference in Las Vegas.



    EAU CLAIRE, WI, November 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Realityworks, Inc., the leader in educational simulations, will award the RealCare Educator of the Year to Mary Smith of Tomahawk, Wis., at the Association of Career and Technical Education (ACTE) Annual Convention and Career Expo. Smith is a Family and Consumer Education (FACE) and health instructor from the Tomahawk School District and has been an educator for over 30 years.

The 2010 ACTE Annual Convention and Career Expo will be held in Las Vegas Dec. 2-4. The conference brings together over 3,000 teachers and administrators in the Career and Technical Education field.

As the RealCare Educator of the Year Smith will receive a prize package valued at nearly $3,000, including ACTE convention registration, travel and accommodations, and includes a $1,000 gift certificate for Realityworks products to use in her program. The award will be presented at the National Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Science awards luncheon on Friday, Dec. 3.

Realityworks products and programs will be featured at the ACTE convention in booth #941 in the exposition hall. The firm's Business Education Simulations are designed for high school and post secondary students to help them apply key business concepts taught in class. In addition, the TimeMAPS Money Management and Life Skills Program for teaching personal finance will be available with its complete curriculum for educators to examine.

The firms' RealCare infant simulators and curricula will also be presented at the conference including programs used to educate students about proper infant care skils, Shaken Baby Syndrome, Prenatal Drug Exposure, and Prenatal Alcohol Exposure, as well as simulators for teaching CPR, infant choking procedures and caring for babies with Special Needs.

"Personal Financial Literacy Through Digital Technology" will be held in the exhibit hall from 11a.m. - 11:50 a.m. and noon - 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2.
