Walnut, California-based Acnodes Corp. today introduced a new 1U high rackmount monitor keyboard drawer featuring a 19" TFT LCD screen and dual slide-out rails for the screen and the keyboard.
The KDM7190 offers a 250-nit screen with 1280x1024 resolution, protected by tempered glass. The front includes five on screen display buttons for easy screen adjustment of contrast, brightness, phase and color, and horizontal and vertical position.
Along with the 19" screen, the KDM7190 has an integrated 106-key keyboard and two-button touchpad mouse. The keyboard assembly is on its own slide rails so it can be pulled out separately.
The unit comes with a six-foot-long 3-in-1 cable that has a proprietary interface at the console end and PS/2, PS/2, VGA at the end connecting to the computer. A 6-foot cable proprietary at one end and USB 2.0 at the other is included for use with computers that have USB ports but no PS/2 ports. The unit automatically senses which interface is being used.
The KDM7198 and KDM71916 are versions of the KDM7190 with built-in 8 and16 port KVM switch boxes, respectively. A notable feature of these units is that cables with either PS/2 or USB can be plugged in at the same time, which is ideal for businesses that have some computers that have PS/2 ports and some computers that do not. Specify how many of each type of 3-in-1 cable you need at time of purchase.
The drawers are made completely of steel finished with a black powder coating. Two thumbscrews lock the screen in place when not in use. The units are also key lockable. The 100/240VAC power supply is built into the drawer.
The unit comes ready to mount in any stand 19" wide rack and includes back end brackets for rear mounting up to 36." The KDM7190 is only 20 inches deep. The KVM unit versions are both 22.2 inches deep.
