Former WebMD Executive Joins SoloHealth to Head Advertising Efforts

SoloHealth's new VP of advertising, Rebecca Barnett-Miesch, will drive multi-platform advertising strategy.



    ATLANTA, GA, January 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- SoloHealth (www.solohealth.com), a recognized leader in self-directed health care, announced today that Rebecca Barnett-Miesch, former Director of Strategic Partnerships at WebMD, has joined the company.

Rebecca will bring her nearly 20 years of experience to the role of VP of Advertising Sales. She will drive the advertising strategy for SoloHealth's health and wellness kiosks, including the SoloHealth Station, an innovative new solution that allows consumers in high-traffic retail environments to test their vision, blood pressure, and body mass; obtain health and wellness information; and store a history of their results that can be accessed at the consumer's convenience. This health and wellness ecosystem, a "front porch" to health care, allows retailers, manufacturers, doctors, insurance companies and others to reach customers in a highly personal and targeted manner. Rebecca will also build an ad strategy for SoloHealth's mobile platforms and consumer website.

Prior to joining WebMD, Rebecca worked for The Weather Channel where she created and led the mobile advertising strategy for The Weather Channel cable network and weather.com. Before joining The Weather Channel in 2002, Rebecca lived in New York City for 10 years, holding advertising sales-related positions both in traditional media and in the digital space at organizations such as CourtTV, USA Network, Phase2Media and Earthweb. Originally from Richmond, VA, Rebecca is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Mass Communications.
