Online College Swap Meet: CollegeSwap Facebook App Launched

The new Facebook application CollegeSwap allows college students to swap for products and services, says Whowish, the company which has created the innovative new app.

BANGKOK, THAILAND, February 16, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The technology company Whowish has announced the soft launch of a new Facebook application. Called CollegeSwap, the unique app allows students to swap with each other for the products and services they need--including everything from futons, refrigerators, and iPhones to math tutors and rides home during breaks.

The CollegeSwap Facebook application is the brainchild of several recent college graduates. Rungrith (Sam) Kittayapong, an alumnus of Cornell University, is CEO of Whowish; Tanin Na Nakorn, an alumnus of the University of Edinburgh is Chief Technology Officer; and Tanun Niyomjit, a graduate of Srinakharinwirot University in Thailand, is Chief of Product Development. The three entrepreneurs joined together to form Whowish, a technology company dedicated to creating innovative and useful apps for Facebook and other platforms. Later they were joined by Nilobol Ariyamongkollert, a graduate of Thailand's Chulalongkorn University, who now serves as Head Programmer & Systems Analyst.

"The CollegeSwap application has been a year in the making, and is the product of our experiences of being cash strapped college students," says Kittayapong, who previously developed the patented KomShell notebook case to help students and professionals who are always on the go. "With CollegeSwap students can save cash by swapping what they don't need for what they do need."

In addition, CollegeSwap can be used by college students to earn some extra cash. If a swap can't be made between products or services, users can negotiate a cash offer. Students who have services to sell, like tutoring a foreign language, can use CollegeSwap to find students in need of their services. The application may retire the once popular ride share board on college campuses, as CollegeSwap makes it easy for students without wheels to find people offering rides.

All college students can access the application now by visiting CollegeSwap's Facebook profile page at: http://www.facebook.com/collegeswap.

Stay tuned for Whowish's next application 2Meet4, which will be launched in the weeks following the launch of CollegeSwap.
