    NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND, October 22, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In the run-up to the UK's Bonfire Night celebrations, one of the country's leading firework supplier 1st Galaxy Fireworks has launched a Facebook application in the form of a quiz, to help people find their perfect firework.

1st Galaxy Fireworks, the Nottinghamshire-based company and one of the largest suppliers of fireworks and effects in the UK, is busily preparing for one of the UK's biggest events on the fireworks calendar, 5th November. To celebrate, the company has launched a Facebook application, with a series of personality questions, so that Facebook users can find out which firework is best suited to their personality.

Displays Manager Lee Smith, from 1st Galaxy said, 'We wanted to do something that was fun and quirky and Facebook applications are great for that. However, although it's just a bit of fun, there is a serious message behind it - year after year we come into contact with people whose expectations have been dashed by fireworks displays in the past, because they haven't chosen the fireworks which are quite right for them and their audience.

'For example, many home fireworks displays are for the benefit of the kids, but often the fireworks that parents choose can be too noisy for little ears, and children end up scared, which obviously defeats the whole object of the night. On the other hand, it could be the exact opposite - many men just want fireworks that go higher, faster and are noisier than all the rest, but sometimes they find that the selection they end up with go with more of a fizz than a bang.'

The Facebook application asks participants a series of questions about their lifestyle and likes and dislikes in every-day life, and then from the answers given calculates which firework they are most like - ranging from the tame but much-loved sparkler, through to Big Nobby, a rocket designed to make your party go with a bang! Lee continues 'The application is really tongue-in-cheek but it might just focus shoppers to understand a bit more about what they really want from their fireworks.'

1st Galaxy Firework has seven pop-up shops nationwide, which opened for this year's fireworks season on 15th October 2009, but also has a webshop where customers can buy fireworks online all year round, for any event, large or small.
