The 2008 Media Survey is a first-ever attempt at a complete market analysis of more than 500,000 media outlets across the globe to form views on the future of media. Survey participants have been invited from across a spectrum of media agencies and include editors, independent journalists, CEOs and emerging "internet personalities".
Results of the survey will be used as part of a larger econometric study of the state of the media and growth options available in a rapidly changing environment.

Daniel Evans is an independent economist working (alternately) between New York, London, Auckland and Brisbane. Mr Evans is the director of Specialist Economic Advisors, a new independent consultancy involved in research in the fields of counter-trade, socio-economic development in developing communities, social networking and poverty alleviation.
Mr Evans is a professional member of the New Zealand Association of Economists, New Zealand Law & Economics Association, American Economics Association, Commonwealth Association of Public Administrators, Canadian Economics Association and the Australian Economics Association.
