2009 Actor and Model Career Expo

/24-7PressRelease/ -- The 2009 Actor/Model Career Expo will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Timonium, Maryland. This year's mid-atlantic event will host more than 70 job resources, including top regional casting directors, talent and modeling agencies, pageants, authors, photographers, speakers, indie film companies, trade groups, aesthetic companies and other employment agencies for actors.
Some of the principal actor casting directors that are scheduled to attend are:
Diane Heery, a casting director with over 15 years experience. Diane is a member of the prestigious Casting Society of America, and has cast many films such as "Jersey Girl", "Signs" , "The Sixth Sense", "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen", and "National Treasure.
Mike Lemon, who has over 22 years experience, casting over 12,000 projects, including the films "Annapolis", "Fallen", "Philadelphia", "Ocean's 11" and "12 Monkeys".
Betsy Royall, who is an established casting director and a proud member of the Casting Society of America, the International Coach Federation and serves on the advisory board of Women in Film and Video. Her credits include " The West Wing", "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian", "Eagle Eye", and "The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer".
Pat Moran, is a 5 time Emmy Award nominee for Outstanding Casting, and won the Emmy in 1998. His credits include "Enemy of the State", "Runaway Bride", "Step Up 2: The Streets", and "He's Just Not That Into You".
There will also be representatives from AFTRA/SAG (American Federation of Television and Radio Artists - Screen Actors Guild).
Lisa Scott is the Event Owner /Host. Lisa has been a professional model for the past 25 years. She has graced many national and local print ads, television commercials, and voice spots. She is best known for her six years as one of Heat Wave's top selling national swimsuit and calendar girls. In 2001 she won over $10,000.00 in cash and prizes at the Monroe Modeling Competition taking the title over 100 competing models from all over the country. She founded The Model Connection, Inc. In 1994 with the goal of developing an agency that serves the talent and the client equally. Since its launch, The Model Connection, Inc. has become a predominant force in the modeling and casting industry.
According to Lisa Scott, "This year's event is the second in what I hope will become an annual tradition in Maryland. I wanted to create an event where talent could not only network and improve their job prospects but where the benefits would be useful to both new and seasoned talent. I also wanted to bring people together to support a charity that means the world to me and to everyone it touches."
A portion of the proceeds will go to The Make-A-Wish Foundation.
