Mountain House Marks Spring Season With New Home Ownership Opportunities For Bay Area & Northern California Homebuyers

Grand Openings In Village of Questa at Mountain House Bring New, Attainable Choices To "Little Slice of Heaven" New Town

MOUNTAIN HOUSE, CA, April 29, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Questa at Mountain House is welcoming Spring's new growth with fresh new choices for homebuyers moving from the Bay Area and other Northern California regions. Already home to some 3,000 residents, Mountain House will open brand new model homes in the village of Questa in May, as Meritage Homes celebrates the grand opening of Americana. In mid-June, Standard Pacific will open its new Montalcino series. Americana and Montalcino will join Shea Homes' Antigua, Campania and Esplanade at Questa, where active sales continue.

Home shoppers will find a total of 24 designs in these five single-family neighborhoods, with floorplans that range in size from approximately 1,870 to 3,664 square feet of living space. Pricing ranges from the $200,000s to the $400,000s for the homes of Questa at Mountain House.

"Mountain House got its start by delivering superior ownership value at attainable pricing, and an environment that blends the best of traditional hometowns with the best of today's lifestyle amenities," said Adam Hieb, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Shea Homes Northern California. "With these new homes in the village of Questa, we continue the Mountain House tradition--welcoming incoming residents to join those who have already chosen to make their lives in this nurturing, multi-generational hometown."

Called "that little slice of heaven" by one resident, Mountain House is a thriving new town east of Livermore, California. America's historic small towns inspired the master-planned community design, which include a thoughtful diversity of housing and pedestrian links that connect friends and neighbors with their larger community.

Some 750 acres of reserved open space highlight Mountain House, and established amenities include parks, three state-of-the-art K-8 schools and library. Today's Mountain House has four villages. At completion, Mountain House will include 10 villages, additional K-8 schools, a high school, and a Town Center with shopping, entertainment, and dining.

Village Lifestyle--The village-style neighborhoods of Mountain House offer an appealing mix of home sizes and architectural styles, and each village has a unique personality. As with the hometowns of old, village streets are lined with shade trees, while classic lampposts and park benches evoke the feeling of time-honored craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Schools--Quality education is a priority for the families who have made their home at Mountain House, and at Questa, it starts at Questa Elementary, a centrally located K-8 school and adjacent park. Part of the Lammersville Elementary School District, Questa Elementary and the other K-8 campuses at Mountain House are each designed to serve 750 to 850 students.

Music, art and physical education are part of the regular curriculum, and classes and programs are structured to recognize and respect cultural diversity. Among school activities are basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, band, choir, and string ensemble.

"The schools here are second to none, which is a testimony of the dedication that our teachers have, and that allows our kids to excel at a very high level in today's society," says a Mountain House resident. "Everyone helps in one way or another to improve the quality of life and increase the prosperity of our children's future."

Parks--Mountain House has 5 completed parks, giving residents multiple places to enjoy recreational and leisure time, structured sports programs, picnics and diverse gatherings. Playgrounds, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, lighted tennis courts, bocce courts, picnic areas and biking and walking paths are among park amenities, and most parks also include multi-purpose fields. Residents take full advantage of their parks, using the grounds for flag football, Little League games, basketball, soccer and more.

"The town is thriving on inveterate volunteers who are creating community from the ground up: youth sports, social events, interest groups of all kinds, you name it," says one resident. "A new town like ours is a rare blank slate, and people are really stepping up to create a quality of life that isn't easily found elsewhere."

New home shoppers can start their exploration of Questa at Mountain House by visiting http://www.mountainhouseliving.com where they can register their interest and receive updates regarding the village of Questa, new home openings and special sales events. This is also the place to look for more on such community-wide gatherings as the "100% Celebration" festival, scheduled for May 21, and featuring family-friendly activities, model home tours and community information.

"The people who call Mountain House home cherish the space and amenities here, and a sense of community that is simply second to none," said Hieb. "We invite area home shoppers to experience this wonderful place personally--and to access our online avenues today so that they can secure their choice in a new home here!"

From the Bay Area, take the I-580 past Livermore. Exit Mountain House Parkway. Follow signs to the models.
