Spencer Ivy to Provide Electric Biking Breaks with Holiday Firms

Spencer Ivy, providers of high quality electric bikes, are pleased to announce their partnership with holiday companies in England and Wales to offer couples and families from around the world the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful British landscape.

LONDON, ENGLAND, May 09, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Spencer Ivy launched their electric bikes in October 2010, with the aim to make cycling more accessible to people who are usually deterred due to the terrain or distance they need to cycle - whether it be for work or leisure. Expanding into the tourism industry was therefore a natural progression. Now, in addition to offering high quality and efficient electric bikes through its network of dealers in the UK and Spain, Spencer Ivy will also provide tourists with premier electric bike holidays through its partners in Wales and across the South of England.

Drover Holidays based by the Brecon Beacons National Park and Capital Sport with routes running from Devon, right through to Kent, are among the first to open up cycling holidays to a wider audience. The electric bicycle holidays range from short 2 day breaks to longer 10 day tours. The companies have already taken bookings from couples and families as far afield as Australia, America, and Canada.

Speaking to the couple from Canada at London Paddington station on their way to Devon, they said they had "always wanted to visit Devon by bike but were put off by the hills as the route has been graded by Capital Sport as 5/5 for difficulty. But with such beautiful scenery, it would have been unfortunate to miss out, so we hired the electric bikes".

"In addition to offering our customers the high level of reliability and performance of our electric bikes, holiday companies will benefit in the same way as it opens up the market for the same audience" stated Joy Barber, Marketing Director for Spencer Ivy. "The low maintenance nature of our bikes and its superior ability for climbing the steepest hills means the tour operators can happily leave even novice cyclists to their own accord and simply enjoy the ride."

Spencer Ivy will soon be launching an interactive map on their website (http://www.spencerivy.com/) to make it easier for people to find out about the holiday companies providing electric assisted bikes.
