    BARCELONA, SPAIN, May 07, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Genius Loci is on display at Barcelona's Joan Miro Foundation and will involve the musical and artistic output of ten bands combined.

Running until June 4th 2011, the show sees each group handed responsibility for the audio and visual experience in a room.

Visitors walk through the facility hearing a song by the band and taking in the accompanying artwork in front of them.

According to the organisers, the acts have been tasked with communicating what it means to be a musician in Barcelona at the moment.

In a statement, the venue remarked: "Designed as a stroll along the different tracks of an album, Genius Loci is a cross between the experience of listening to a museum audio guide and listening to songs on an iPod or an mp3 player."

Tickets for the whole Joan Miro Foundation collection cost EUR9 (GBP8.10), but visitors can pay EUR4 to see just the temporary exhibits such as Genius Loci.

The facility is open from 10:00 to 19:00 local time from Tuesday to Saturday, except for Thursday when it closes at 21:30. The building is shut on Monday and open from 10:00 to 14:30 on Sunday.
