Ft. Worth restaurant in a gas station wants input on new signature dishes.

WATAUGA, TX, May 12, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The premier dining establishment in the Watauga/Ft. Worth area is getting bigger and better. Chef Point Cafe recently held a groundbreaking ceremony to signal the start of their restaurant expansion project. When the expansion is finished this area icon will double its seating capacity as well as include a full-service bar. While expansion is happening the restaurant will remain open and continue to serve its legion of loyal customers.

During the groundbreaking festivities local celebrities chose their favorite new dish to kick off a "fan-participation contest". Each month from May through August one of these new dishes will be featured at Chef Point Cafe and restaurant fans will have the chance to vote for their favorite. The winner of the voting will be selected at the end of August as the new signature dish for this wonderful family restaurant. Chef Franson and his wife Paula Nwaeze are excited about this contest. As Paula explains, "We think this is a fun way to get the community involved during this expansion period. They have been so good about supporting us in the past and we wanted to use this contest as a way of saying thanks for all your support."

The contest dishes and the judges who chose them are:
- May features Cowboy Comfort (Veal Osso Buco), selected by Michael Downs, former Dallas Cowboy
- June features Heavenly Duck (Half Duck with Plum Sauce), selected by Dr. Bobby Herrell, pastor
- July features JD Licious Mousse (Chocolate Mousse), selected by J.D. Ryan, tv and radio personality
- August features Duck Lamond (Half Duck with Plum Sauce), selected by Andre Johnson, author
