Raleigh engineering firm commemorates "diamond" anniversary on the baseball diamond.

DURHAM, NC, June 10, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In keeping with the "diamond" theme of its 75th anniversary, The Wooten Company is celebrating the milestone with a special event at the Durham Bulls baseball game on Sunday, June 12, against the Norfolk Tides. The event is the first of three baseball-related celebrations at which the firm will include activities for local employees, clients and their families, while recognizing its achievements and its impact on the local community over the years.

One of the most reputable engineering, planning and architectural firms in North Carolina, The Wooten Company is commemorating its achievements of the past 75 years, including several in the Triangle area. Over the years, the firm has been responsible for developing: the water and sewer infrastructure master plan for Research Triangle Park, neighborhood development strategies for Raleigh, buildings for schools and businesses in Wake and Durham Counties, and the original plans for Carter-Finley Stadium at North Carolina State University, as well as several other projects that have made a substantial impact in the community.

"We are extremely proud of the work we have done for the Triangle area and other communities across the state," said Bucky Moore, president of The Wooten Company. "Our firm has demonstrated over the past 75 years a willingness to meet the infrastructure needs of our growing state, and it is a great time to celebrate our accomplishments in this area."

The Wooten Company will hold similar events later this summer at the stadiums of the Kinston Indians and the Hickory Crawdads for clients, employees and families of the firm's Greenville, Hickory and Asheboro offices. They recently held an invitation-only golf tournament for clients and employees to show its appreciation for the individuals and groups that contributed to firm's growth and success. The firm will celebrate its actual 75th anniversary on October 3.

For the past 75 years, The Wooten Company has been dedicated to designing rural electric lines, water and sewer systems, building systems and community planning and development projects all over the state of North Carolina. Their services include sanitary/environmental engineering, general civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, community planning, architecture, landscape architecture, and GIS/mapping services. In addition, The Wooten Company provides project financing assistance for local government projects and, since the early 1990s, has helped raise over a quarter of a billion dollars in funds for infrastructure improvements and community enhancements.
