DENVER, CO, July 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The seasoned professionals at BMGI (www.bmgi.com) will be hosting two workshops in Atlanta at the end of August designed to strengthen organizations, improve operations and set them on the path to achieving strategic goals.

"Strategic Thinking - Real Life Strategy Execution", Tuesday, August 30th
Most organizations struggle at installing and maintaining the management systems required to translate strategy into action - effectively, repeatedly and measurably. This one-day workshop focuses on strategic thinking and planning, and on how to execute by using the seven-step hoshin planning process. Upon completion, participants will be able to select and develop meaningful metrics, support the creation of a daily management system to sustain improvements, and begin the integration of design thinking into the continuum of value creation activities.

How to Run a Successful Kaizen Event," Wednesday, August 31st
This one-day workshop provides the skills and tools needed for making rapid improvements many times over. The workshop will focus on how to apply Lean tools, choose team members, motivate and manage team activity and maximize financial results. Participants will learn how to lead kaizen events using the results-driven SCORE methodology (Select-Clarify-Organize-Run-Evaluate) and will receive a copy of the step-by-step SCORE event guide, A Team Leader's Guide to Lean Kaizen Events.

The workshops will take place at the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at a cost of $399 each. To learn more or register, visit the Strategic Thinking - Real Life Strategy Execution site or How to Run a Successful Kaizen Event site.

These workshops are part of an ongoing series of experiential courses based on the work of leading adult-learning experts. "Participants actively interact and engage in hands-on exercises. They walk away not only remembering what they have learned, but also being able to apply it in their own organizations," said Wes Waldo, COO of BMGI, a certified Lean master and co-author of A Team Leader's Guide to Kaizen Events.

Waldo, who has more than 15 years of quality, operations management and process improvement experience in diverse environments, will be leading the workshops. Joining Waldo at "How to Run a Successful Kaizen Event," will be a business leader from Graphic Packaging.
